Multiple people suffer dog bite injuries outside Florida store

A great many people in Florida have dogs as pets and are friendly to animals they encounter even if it not theirs. Despite that, all animals must be cared for properly and people should be protected from danger if dogs are in the vicinity.

It is unfortunate that people are frequently confronted with dog bite injuries because of someone else's negligence. When this happens, there can be medical bills, long-term injuries and even fatalities. Understanding how to pursue compensation after being bitten by a dog may require legal assistance.

Five people were bitten by two dogs near a pharmacy. The dogs were pit bulls. Their owner stated that he had parked in front of the store and they escaped. A girl and two women were bitten. They had bites on their hands and legs. An employee of the store was bitten also. The dogs bit their owner on the ankle. The man was said to have left with the dogs. When he returned, he did not have them. Animal enforcement went to the man's home and took the dogs. The man had been previously cited for violating leash laws, for the dogs not having their rabies vaccinations, and for not adhering to tag laws.

Dogs bite nearly 5 million people in the U.S. on an annual basis. These bites can lead to people suffering from severe physical damage. They can even be fatal. Many of these are physically superficial, but they can cause psychological damage making a person frightened to even see a dog. Medical costs, lost wages, the need for rehabilitation and more can be necessary after dog bite injuries. People are often unaware as to whom is responsible when this happens. It is important to know that dog owners must make sure they are adhering to the law with their pets. If they fail to do so and someone is injured or dies, a lawsuit could be possible to recover damages.

A man let his dogs loose outside a store and they bit several bystanders, including a child. While the dogs have been quarantined and the investigation into what happened is continuing, it is wise for those who were bitten to think about their rights and consider a legal filing to be compensated. The same holds true for anyone throughout Florida who faces a similar situation. A law firm that has experience with dog bite injuries should be contacted to discuss a case.
